 The mistletoebird is a species of flowerpecker found in most of Australia. IdentificationAdult MaleThe adult male has glossy blue-black upperparts with a red chest and a slight red undertail. It has a black centre stripe running down its white belly. Its eyes, bill and legs are black. Adult FemaleThe adult female has dark grey upperparts with a white throat, light grey underparts and just a touch of pinkish-red under the tail. Like the male, its eyes, bill and legs are black. ImmatureImmature birds are similar to the female, but have an orange-pink bill.
