Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)
The Osprey is a diurnal bird of prey which eats almost exclusively fish. It can be found on all continents except Antarctica. IdentificationAdultsAdult Ospreys have a white breast and belly, brown/black back and wings. The crown and forehead are white with a dark eyestripe. ImmatureJuveniles are similar to adults but with whitish scaling on back feathers and with fewer markings on the chest. They have orange eyes.
