Mountain chickadee (Poecile gambeli)
The mountain chickadee is a small passerine bird in the tit family.
They range from the southern Yukon to California and Rocky Mountain States in the United States.
Identification
Adults
Adult male and female mountain chickadees are similar in appearance. They have a gray body with striking black and white on the head. The white stripe over the eye differentiates Mountain Chickadees from all other chickadees.
