The western bluebird is found in semi-open country across western North America. IdentificationAdult MaleAdult males have bright blue head, throat, upperparts and tail with some on the belly. The breast and and back patch are chestnut. Adult FemaleAdult females have duller blue wings and tail, a brownish breast and gray chead and throat. ImmatureImmature are similar to adults but duller.
