Sara's orangetip is a butterfly which ranges along the Pacific coast of North America from Alaska to Mexico.
Identification
The upperside is yellowish white to white. At the tip of the forewing is a large orange patch, outlined in black. The patch is smaller in females than in males. The border of the wings may be spotted with black. Underneath, the forewing is marked similarly to above, but paler. The hindwing is mottled with greenish brown and white.
