White-headed lapwing (Vanellus albiceps)
The White-headed lapwing is found throughout tropical Africa, usually near large rivers.
Identification
Adult male and female, and juvenile White-headed lapwings are all similar in plumage. Wings and tail are patterned in black and white, the back is brown and the underparts white. The head is mainly grey with a white crown and foreneck. The eyering, facial wattles and legs are yellow.
