The Mourning Dove is one of the most widespread andabundant of all North American birds ranging from Canada to Central America.

Adults
Adult male and female Mourning Doves are similar in appearance. They are a muted light grey and brown in color with black spots on the wings and black-bordered white tips to the tail feathers.
